We are excited for the upcoming basketball club season and can't wait to meet all of the talented young players in the greater Denver area. We have a great season planned with some of the best training available and awesome tournament experiences at our home, the Fieldhouse USA in Aurora. Tryouts dates / times are posted below. Kraken is forming 2-3 teams in age group and for both boys and girls teams.
We are fortunate to have our beautiful new competition and training facility, the Fieldhouse USA Aurora. Our home is the premier court sports venue in the greater Denver area, with 4 giant hardwood maple basketball and 8 volleyball courts. We know where and when our teams will be practicing for the entire season, and we host many of the tournaments and leagues that our athletes and teams compete in. Twice weekly 1.5-2 hour team practices & training. Additional training classes will be offered throughout the week for those athletes that would like to work on a specific skill or just want the extra training time. Elected classes and training are offered for Kraken members at a 25% discount.
Kraken teams compete in 2 competitions per month on average during our Fall/Winter season. Teams will play a combination of leagues and tournaments. Top teams may compete in events outside of Colorado.
Coaches and families have the option of attending additional competitions outside of Colorado. Events requiring travel are at an additional cost. If the team would like to explore the addition of an additional destination competition, the club will do a cost analysis and present to the team families for consideration. The estimate will include: team entry fee, coach travel & meals.
Kraken makes every effort to keep the costs of programs low through fundraising efforts. We have a Fundraising Program Coordinator who is responsible for the creation and administration of both club and individual fundraising programs. Club Fundraisers help offset our operating costs, and individual fundraisers assist families with the cost of club. Money raised through individual fundraisers is directly applied to athlete Kraken accounts, which they can use towards monthly dues, travel expenses and Kraken Gear.
